we made cookies, had our first christmas morning with just the three of us, and later had most of the mathis family to our house on christmas day.  it was a holly jolly time, with tillie singing "gloria" like the angels sing (a trick taught to her by mimi, of course)

her favorite thing to do for a while was take everything out of the toy cabinet and hide in there.  clever.

joseph had surgery on his left hip in early december, and tillie was the best physical therapist.  so helpful.

thanksgiving?

how embarrassing to be over 7 months behind putting up pictures of our adventures...ah well, it's life.  i seem to be missing a bunch of pictures from thanksgiving, so until i can find them, here are some from our trip to the columbus zoo.  we spent the holiday with the kraft family in ohio, and i'm sure the highlight for tillie was communicating with mimi's favorite gorilla.
